About Scott W. Seaton
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Scott W. Seaton has been Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Chicken Soup for the Soul since April 2012. During a 25-year investment banking career, he primarily worked with clients in the media and communications industries around the world, including Chicken Soup for the Soul.

Seaton was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston, Bank of America and Oppenheimer & Co. He completed a broad range of debt and equity financings as well as M&A transactions, and was a strategic advisor to leading clients in the publishing, cable, satellite, information services and communications industries.

He served on the Board of Directors of Mediacom Communications Corporation, the nation's eighth largest cable television company based on the number of basic video subscribers, from 2009–2011 when the company was taken private in a $3.7 billion transaction.

He graduated with honors from Stanford University and earned an MBA degree from Harvard University. Seaton is active on behalf of a number of charities focused around education.

Since its first release in 1993, the Chicken Soup for the Soul series has sold more than 112 million copies in 40 languages. In 2007, USA Today named Chicken Soup for the Soul one of the five most memorable and impactful books of the last quarter century. Since the acquisition in 2008 by its current owners, the company has expanded significantly. Today, Chicken Soup for the Soul is working to deliver its life improvement message of hope and inspiration all over the world.
